The Grade Three Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to standardized menu and recipes. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to production schedule, designated recipes and quality standards
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes  Set-up and break down work station
• Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for all food items
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of your work area and equipment
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to local and company regulations
• Test food items to determine if they are cooked to required standard
• Maintain inventory and food stock levels
• Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
• Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food
• Act as an expeditor by ensuring that all orders are completed and the wait staff advised
• Any other duties assigned
