Job Presentation
  • The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory. They must build trust and act as support for prospects, ensuring they lead to potential future sales.
Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients

Responsibilities
  • Travels within sales territory (SERHA, NERHA, SRHA, WRHA) to meet prospects and customers.
  • Manages calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily; required to visit new and existing customers twice per month.
  • Builds and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
  • Educates customers on how products work and its uses.
  • Sells the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory (NB: this may be subject to change by the Manager).
  • Monitors the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs.
  • Assists with deliveries.
  • Applies company policy as regards to new customer’s applications i.e., cash and credit.
  • Writes receipts for all collections, cash and cheque transactions and must be checked off by the Manager within one (1) day of collection.
  • Work closely with the Manager to help maintain and build the brands sold
  • All employees are expected to attend any promotional event, educational program and any other company duties that may arise from time to time.
  • Co-ordinates purchasing of equipment, tools and supplies and arranges for equipment repairs that must be done externally.
  • Provides consultation to branch administrators, public health nurses, doctors, social agencies and others on availability and use of medical equipment.
  • Ability to instruct others in all phases of the equipment program.
  • Ability to read and understand technical literature.
  • Attends to emergency calls after regular working hours where equipment has broken down or is urgently needed.
