Grandiosa Hotel - Montego Bay, Jamaica

We stayed at the Grandiosa hotel for 3 weeks.Checking in was qick and easy by the receptionist Grace , she was very friendly and answered all our questions.We were shown to our room by the bellman Steve who was equally friendly. Throughout our stay everyone treated us like family Marsha the other receptionist,Christine(housekeeper ) and Ried (security). Some of the bar and kitchen staff were also friendly but we didn't have a lot of contact with them. The food was too expensive and at one point we were overcharged for our drinks.Our bedroom was cleaned everyday and towels changed which was great. The room desperately needs renovating though and the furniture dated. The negative side of staying at this hotel were due to no entertainment, it is too far from the beach and the noise from the road is too much. We found that it was too expensive to use taxis to the hipstrip and we had to walk down during the daytime. It wasn't safe to walk at night as the road was dark and cars zooming pass. Overall we enjoyed our stay as the staff made up for all the negatives. We would probably stay there again as the price wasn't too bad.
