Start-up Jamaica - Kingston

Start-Up Jamaica (SUJ) is an accelerator that takes equity in select start-up technology companies in return for seed capital, training, and mentorship. Its physical facility houses these start-ups and provides them with the necessary skills in business, management, legal, and accounting in order to pitch to potential equity investors and receive investments to grow their businesses. The goal of SUJ is to equip young, tech-savvy innovators with the tools to create mobile applications that solve real-world issues and create employment. SUJ is part of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining's (MSTEM) larger strategy to help innovators and entrepreneurs in Jamaica and the Caribbean develop their ideas into marketable services, contributing to economic growth and generating
