Toensure that the MEP designs are at the highest quality of mechanical,electrical and plumbing construction standards and are in accordance withproject specific cost and schedule requirements aligned with North AmericanDesign Codes.
Responsibilities
· Provide detailed code conforming MEP designs withcomplete analytical basis for tender/construction documents
· Achieve a detailed understanding of the Contract documents(drawings and specifications), phasing plans, MEP systems interrelationships,construction sequencing and project schedule.
· Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, betweenMEP Subcontractors during construction.
· Validate design issues related to MEP and suggestalternative solutions.
· Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.
· Log and post all MEP changes and as-builtinformation on field drawings.
· Assist in the scope review, budgeting andjustification of MEP change work order.
· Coordination and administration of MEP relatedmaterials, systems and shop drawings submittals.
· Liaison with Consultant MEP supervisory Engineers,Inspectors and relevant staff.
· Reviewing/Interpreting MEP engineering designs toensure that the relevant minimum standards are satisfied
· Ensure that MEP Subcontractors provides and adheresto relevant Quality documentation/records.
· Assist in the testing and commissioning of MEPequipment.
Internal / External Communications
· Internally with Project Management Team
· Externally with Client / Consultant'sRepresentatives (local & regional)
Requirements/ Qualifications
· University degree in Mechanical or ElectricalEngineering
· 5-7 years of construction experience with workingknowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction/installationprocedures and practices
· 3-5 years MEP design experience
· Possess excellent Revit, CAD & Microsoft Officeknowledge
· Possess excellent communication and organizationalskills
SpecialRequirements / Features
· CSME Certification will be an asset
· ASHRAE/NFPA/IEE registration/certification will bean asset
· Good leadership skills with relationship-buildingskill with partners in the industry
· Good interpersonal skills and people management
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· A Registered Engineer in local territory or country
