Responsibilities
Safe, Adventurous and Educational Guest Experiences

• Deliverable: Ensure every guest has a safe, thrilling, and educational experience during the zipline tour.
• Performance Area: Guest feedback on safety, enjoyment, and educational content.

Safety & Compliance:

• Deliverable: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure that all equipment is checked and maintained according to standards.
• Performance Area: Compliance with safety checklists, incident reports, and equipment maintenance log.

Environmental Awareness:

• Deliverable: Educate guests on the importance of environmental conservation while ensuring the tour has minimal impact on the natural surroundings.
• Performance Area: Guest feedback on environmental education, adherence to environmental protection guidelines.

Tour Leadership and Guest Engagement:

• Deliverable: Lead engaging tours that provide guests with both a fun and educational experience, focusing on the natural environment of the forest.
• Performance Area: Guest satisfaction ratings, quality of educational content delivered, and guest participation levels.

Team Collaboration:

• Deliverable: Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth and safe operations at of the zipline tours.
• Performance Area: Teamwork effectiveness, communication and coordination with other guides and staff.

Emergency Response:

• Deliverable: Be prepared to handle any emergencies quickly and efficiently, ensuring guest and team member safety.
• Performance Area: Response times in emergency situations, adherence to emergency protocols, and participation in safety drills

Key Duties & Responsibilities: Guest Safety and Comfort

• Give clear safety instructions before each tour, explaining how to use the gear and what to do in case of an emergency
• Check all the gear, like harnesses and helmets, to make sure they’re in good condition before starting the tour
• Help guests put on their gear correctly and make sure it fits well
• Lead guests through the zipline course, making sure they follow all the safety rules
• Keep an eye on guests during the tour to ensure they are comfortable and safe

Tour Leadership and Guest Engagement:

• Make the tour interesting by sharing fun and useful information about the trees and wildlife in the forest
• Be friendly and approachable to make sure guests have a great time
• Encourage guests to ask questions and enjoy the adventure

Environmental Awareness:

• Teach guests about the importance of protecting the environment and the forest
• Make sure the tours do not harm the natural surroundings and follow Mystic Mountain’s rules for taking care of the environment

Team Collaboration:

• Support and work closely with fellow team members to ensure the safe operation of the zipline tour, fostering teamwork to maintain the highest safety standards
• Share any safety concerns or guest issues with your team
• Attend team meetings and training to stay updated on how to do your job safely

Emergency Response:

• Be ready to handle emergencies, like medical issues or bad weather, quickly and calmly
• Follow the emergency procedures and communicate clearly with guests and your team
• Report any accidents or problems with the equipment to your supervisor right away

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform any other related duties as assigned by management to meet operational needs and ensure guest satisfaction

Performance Reviews:Performance reviews for a Zipline Tour Guide will be based on their ability to deliver safe, adventurous, and educational guest experiences. Key metrics will include guest satisfaction ratings, adherence to safety protocols, effectiveness in educating guests about the environment, teamwork and collaboration with fellow guides, and their readiness and response during emergency situations. The guide's performance will also be assessed on their contribution to maintaining high safety standards and their active participation in ongoing training and development programs.
