Job Presentation
In the role of a cashier, your main duty is to execute monetary transactions with precision and speed. Serving as the ultimate point of interaction for customers throughout their shopping journey, your key focus is to guarantee a positive and smooth checkout experience.

Responsibilities
Customer Service:
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Transaction Processing:
  • Process customer sales invoices
  • Collect and apply deposit to service invoices
  • Close out completed work order by generation final invoice
  • Collect and apply payment to customer rental accounts
  • Prepare and issue authorized customer deposit
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
  • Count and verify cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded and reconciled correctly
Cash Handling:
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and securely
  • Provide change to customers and process refunds authorized discount when necessary
Recording of rental deposit
  • All rental deposits must be logged at the end of each shift
  • Refund authorized deposits to customer
  • Ensure that all deposits collected for each day should be reconciled at the end of each shift
Compliance:
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
End of Day Reconciliation:
  • All end of day cash draw should be balanced 
Performance is effective when:
  • Excellent standards of attendance and punctuality are maintained
  • Duties are conducted in a manner that contributes to company and team objectives
  • Professional standards in deportment, conduct, and speech are maintained consistently
ACCOUNTABILITY The Cashier is responsible and accountable for:
  • The general quality of his/her performance within the scope of the duties and responsibilities that have been assigned
  • Taking on certain additional duties and responsibilities as circumstances dictate
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Maintain good relations with Total Tools Rental & Electrical Supplies Limited team in his/her personal dealings with them
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external service providers
  • Present a good personal image to ALL those persons with whom the contact is made
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Liaises with all departments
HEALTH AND SAFETY
  • All employees must adhere to the Health and Safety policies of Total Tools Rental & Electrical Supplies Limited and especially practice safe and responsible drinking habits to ensure sobriety during all in-house operations and while operating heavy equipment
WORK TOOLS
  • Desktop, extension, printer 


Skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounts principles and procedures
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for handling transactions
