QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Urban/Physical Planning or equivalent
- At least three years' experience in a planning environment
- Training in road planning methods
- Training in Development Control particularly Development & Subdivision Approval Process
- Training in Project Planning and Appraisal
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess proposal for road development.
- Recommend optionslalternatives to mitigate impact on communities, businesses or other stakeholders affected by proposed developments of road network.
- Research new and update existing planning guidelines for team members.
- Conduct surveys, analyses, and impact of projects.
- Prepare/recommend layout of projected traffic flow and circulation patterns for traffic management projects.
- Collaborate with Highway Planning Team and Major Projects in developing new road projects and improvements to existing highways.
- Process Developments, Subdivisions, Advertisement, and other types of applications
- Represent the Agency at assigned Planning/Development committee meetings.
- Sound knowledge of research methodologies, survey techniques and statistical methods.
- Knowledge of road planning techniques
