The Purchasing Assistant with the supervision of the Purchasing Manager will provide support to the purchasing process and department. The individual will be responsible for purchasing documents responding to related inquiries; and maintaining vendor/source information and inventories. Comply with the policies and procedures of the company. Provide support to the team, and other administrative staff throughout the company.

- Prepare purchase orders & requisitions through a computerized system (Quick Books) and transmit orders for the purchase of goods as directed (both local & overseas).
- Requesting quotations from qualified suppliers; compare prices in the spreadsheet where necessary and submit for evaluation and decision for an award of purchase orders for the procurement of goods.
- Arrange for items purchased to be picked up and same distributed to the different locations and departments.
- Review local open orders, follow up, and expedite delivery to Plant site
- Liaise with local customers/suppliers in areas of non-conformance to specifications or damage of material received as directed. Assist with Clerical duties for the Department: photocopying, document scanning, emailing, filling etc, as necessary
- Ensure that the warehouse gets the invoice for processing and same given to Data Input Clerk.
- Assess Raw Material weekly report, to determine reorder quantities
- Maintain Permit Tracker sheet.
- Maintain a turnaround time report for all local orders.
- Submit permit request to broker for shipments that require permits
- Schedule servicing of Isratech’s fleet of vehicles as per request from logistic manager.
- All other duties assigned
