QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or the successful completion of Parts A and B of the examination of the Institution of Civil Engineers 
• A minimum of 5 years Post Graduate experience in Civil Engineering, Geology or equivalent, with experience in the testing and evaluating of soil/material. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS

• Responsible for all phases of laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete and asphaltic material
• Quality control testing associated with the monitoring of construction of bridges, buildings and roads under the NWA programme
• Evaluation of new products for road improvement
• Specialized skills in Geotechnical investigation and analysis
• Review and update laboratory practices/facilities to ensure alignment with current national/international best practices
• Prepare technical reports and provide feedback in support of projects being managed by the NWA.
• Maintain current testing standards/procedures for performing analyses.
