ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Executive Housekeeper and within limits of the established Sands at Grace Bay policies, Housekeeping Standards Operating Procedures manual.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Leading the daily operations of the housekeeping department and providing support to the Room Attendants and Housemen.
Assist with training and hiring of new team members.
Collaborate with the Maintenance departments with any room and property deficiencies.
Maintain close working relationship with other departments especially Front Office, Food & Beverage and Spa.
Inspect rooms and provide ongoing feedback to the team.
Check and maintain adequate level of supplies and material and request replenishment of supplies as required.
Ensure the correct handling of lost guest property in accordance whit Hotel procedures.
Carry out opening and closing procedures as detailed in the standards & procedures while ensuring accurate completion of any reports.
Provide leadership that inspires and engages the team to do their best every day.
Ensuring all guest comments and complaints are acted upon promptly.
Assist the team to ensure that all goals are met on a daily basis.
Assist with scheduling of staff.
Ensure room standards are maintained.
Create action plans and update departmental progress-based guest and employee feedback.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Previous experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or similar supervisory role in hospitality.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure operational success.
Physically capable of performing housekeeping tasks and inspections as required.
Proficiency in monitoring departmental expenses.
Starting salary $33,000 - $37,000 per annum plus an estimated service charge of $10,000
SENIOR HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
Assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with the daily operations of the housekeeping department and ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization within our establishment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeping Manager in daily housekeeping operations.
Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and attractive conditions in guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces.
Coordinate with other departments such as Front Office and Engineering for seamless operations.
Maintain records of staff schedules, inventories, and inspections.
Assist with overseeing laundry operations and monitor productivity to ensure cost efficiency.
Conduct room inspections and ensure adherence to established standards.
Work with the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper to address guest complaints and implement solutions promptly.
Assist with monitoring of housekeeping staff performance, providing coaching and support for professional growth.
Ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the department.
Key Skills and Requirements:
3-5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably in hospitality.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Must be physically able to perform cleaning and inspection task
Starting salary $28,500 $32,000 per annum plus an estimated service charge of $10,000
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/ ELECTRICIAN
Roles & Responsibilities:
To perform all scheduled maintenance-related jobs skillfully and professionally.
Account for time spent on individual works and actively seek further tasks when assigned tasks are completed.
To advise the Engineering Administrator when parts or supplies need to be reordered.
Perform weekly and monthly physical counts of all inventory stock and tooling and requirements.
Other duties as deemed necessary by the Engineering Administrator
Key Skills and Requirements:
Must meet minimum professional qualification/certification in Plumbing/Electrical/ Mechanical and A/C-related trades
Must have a minimum of two years of hands-on experience working on minor electrical, painting, plumbing, and A/C
Must speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
Must work weekends and holidays
Salary starting at $9.00 to $10.00 per hour plus service charge
