QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Passes in four (4) subjects at Ordinary level/CXC level including Mathematics, English Language, Information Technology and preferably one other technical subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry or Geography
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Soil and Material investigation/sampling 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS:

The incumbent is expected to discharge their responsibilities through the attainment of key outputs which include but not limited to the following: 

  • Ensure that all sampling equipment assigned is calibrated and/or maintained as required in good working conditions and reporting defective equipment.
  • Ensure that all samples collected are clearly labelled, easily identified and delivered in a timely manner to the MTEU facilities and the respective field sheets are completed and submitted to the supervisors immediately after field visit.
  • Prepare graphs and sketches relative to various tests performed in the field Conduct various field sampling on roads under construction.
  • Completion of assignments and meeting agreed performance targets.
  • Observation and adherence to safety and operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Sampling of soil and material for use in concrete asphalt and other engineering works according to required test standards. 4
  • Adhering to safety and operating procedures.
  • Recording results as obtained.
