Job offer: Medical Laboratory Technician (Windsor Wellness Centre)

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support our clinical laboratory operations. The MLT will perform diagnostic tests, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate and timely results to assist in patient care. This role is vital in supporting the healthcare team in delivering quality medical services to our patients.

Responsibilities
Specimen Collection and Handling

• Collect, label, and process biological samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for laboratory analysis.

Laboratory Testing:

• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology, using advanced laboratory equipment.

Quality Control

• Conduct quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.

·Data Recording and Reporting

• Accurately document and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers, adhering to confidentiality standards.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure consistent performance and safety.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, including ordering reagents, cassettes, and consumables as needed.

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols, OSHA standards, and infection control guidelines. Handle and dispose of biohazard materials properly.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with medical staff, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals to provide efficient and effective diagnostic services.

Skills
