- The Office Manager will oversee administrative operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the office and support logistics activities. Their responsibilities include managing schedules, supervising office staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and shipping regulations. They coordinate communication between departments, maintain records of shipments, invoices, and correspondence, and handle budgeting and procurement of office supplies. Additionally, they may assist with customer service, monitor performance metrics, and implement processes to improve efficiency. This role is essential for maintaining organization, streamlining operations, and supporting the overall goals of the shipping company.
Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings and organize the office layout and order stationery and equipment
- Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
- Partner with HR to update and maintain office policies as necessary
- Organize office operations and procedures
- Coordinate with IT department on all office equipment
- Ensure that all packages are invoiced and paid on time before disbursement
- Provide general support to customers
- Supervise employees and employee tasks to ensure company and performance standards held
- Assist with the placement of orders or refunds.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires
- Address employees’ queries regarding office management issues (e.g., stationery, Hardware, and travel arrangements)
- Partner with HR to plan in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations, and conferences
- Monitor and vet the Daily Check off each day.
- Receive, account and prepare cash for assigned transit to Main Office
